Post-Graduate Certificates Admission Requirements

Applicants must have achieved a minimum undergraduate nursing degree GPA of 3.0.

For those applicants whose undergraduate nursing degree GPA is less than 3.0, the GRE and/or (12) credits of graduate level coursework is required. The official GRE score and/or graduate coursework must be completed prior to the application deadline.

Your application must be complete, fees must be paid, and supporting documents must be received before the deadline in order to be considered for admission. View the Application Deadlines for important dates regarding this program.

All applicants to the College of Nursing must meet the minimum requirements outlined in the Technical Standards.

All applicants are required to upload a CV/Resume as part of the application process.

All applicants must submit three letters of reference. We recommend that at least one reference be from an academic source. References are submitted as part of the NursingCAS application process.

Please upload a copy of your current, unencumbered RN license with your application.

Selected applicants are required to attend Interview Day if they wish to proceed with the admissions process. The interview date is listed on the Application Deadlines page.

In select cases, a telephone interview may be substituted for an on-site interview.

Official Transcripts (Domestic)

All applicants must request official transcripts from each former/current institution attended. You will need to order all official transcripts to be sent directly to NursingCAS for verification (regardless of the years attended or previous coursework completed). This includes any concurrent/dual enrollment courses you took in high school; you must submit official transcripts for any post-secondary school(s) from which you earned college credit while in high school. International/Foreign Transcripts

Applicants holding a degree from an international or foreign institution require a course-by-course transcript evaluation. For additional information regarding submitting international transcripts and course-by-course evaluations, please visit the NursingCAS transcripts help section.

• The primary application fee is paid directly to NursingCAS and is required in order to submit your application.
• The University of Colorado College of Nursing requires a non-refundable $50.00 supplemental application fee.
• Through the following link, select the Nursing prompt from the program drop down menu and then Nursing - Supplemental Application Fee under the fee type drop down. Note: all applicants must submit the supplemental fee to be considered for our program. CUSYS Portal

Although it is not required, all applicants are encouraged to submit their application to NursingCAS 6 weeks prior to the deadlines listed, as it can take up to 4-6 weeks for NursingCAS to receive and verify applicant transcripts. Please do not wait on transcripts and references/recommendations to be received by NursingCAS before submitting your application. This will help to ensure that your application is reviewed in a timely manner.

Applicants should monitor their NursingCAS application portal daily after application submission for completion of tasks such as verification of transcripts. The University of Colorado College of Nursing will not provide application status updates. Notifications regarding your application will only be sent through the NursingCAS portal, and it is the applicant’s responsibility to check and complete necessary tasks if missing items are identified.
