Sara Fruithandler is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner working at the Community and Youth Health Clinics at Sheridan Health Services. Her clinical interests include pediatric, adolescent, reproductive and LGBT health, and she is certified in contraceptive procedures such as IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals.

Fruithandler graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014 and a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Florida in 2013. Her nursing background spans the pediatric acute care hospital, outpatient clinic and public health community settings. She graduated from the University of Colorado College of Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2022. She lives in Denver with her husband and dog.
