Linda L. Johnson, DNP, MSN, WHNP-BC, has been in the nursing field and caring for women since 1976. She graduated from the University of Colorado College of Nursing; first with her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2003, then with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in May, 2015. Currently Dr. Johnson is the Interim Specialty Director of the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with the University of Colorado College of Nursing. Additionally, she spends part of her time in clinical practice at CU Healthcare Partners @ Belleview Point.

Prior to working at the University of Colorado, she was Co-Clinical Director at Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center, Boulder Colorado. In partial fulfillment of her Doctor of Nursing practice, she implemented her quality improvement project, “Improving Contraceptive Adherence in Women Who Use Subdermal Implants”. Dr. Johnson currently helps students find clinical placements to learn how to provide excellence as they transcend into the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner role. In clinical practice, she precepts students in the advanced practice nursing program. In this role, Dr. Johnson teaches students how to apply quality improvement in clinical settings to improve reproductive health care.
