Mary Mackenburg, RN, PhD, CNP has been a nurse practitioner since 1997 and holds certifications in primary care pediatrics, acute care pediatrics, and adult-geriatric acute care. Her background includes clinical practice in emergency medicine in urban and rural settings. She assisted in developing one of the first NP emergency medicine groups in the state of Minnesota. Additionally, Dr. Mackenburg is an assistant professor of nursing working with both pediatric and adult-geriatric acute care students. Her doctorate is in nursing education with a specialization in teaching and training online. She has a special interest in curriculum development for acute care graduate students. She is a member of the AAENP, AANP, and NAPNAP.
