Doctor of Nursing Practice Admission Requirements


The following requirements/materials are needed for a complete application. Admissions decisions will be made after each deadline, following a faculty review. All materials submitted become the property of the University of Colorado College of Nursing.

Applications are submitted through Nursing’s Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS).

Application Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (DNP-APN and DNP-PHN)

Question : Master of Science in Nursing (DNP-APN and DNP-PHN)

Applicants who wish to pursue the Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree must possess a Master Degree with an advanced practice specialty. Applicants for the DNP-PHN program must possess a Master of Public Health or Community Health in Nursing degree.

If you have a non-clinical master’s you may be eligible to go into the DNP in Health Systems Leadership.
