Yes, all of the courses are offered online. We develop a program plan with every student to insure their success in getting into the online sections of core classes in the MS program and we control registration in the informatics courses.

No, but many of our students come for graduation.

Most of our online courses use primarily asynchronous learning not real time. Independent studies are the only self-paced classes. Our program is semester based and the online courses are structured into modules (4-6 per class) containing learning activities and assignments. There are discussion groups, presentations, teamwork and individual assignments in each class. All Learning activities and assignments have deadlines posted.

MS courses offered by semesters. The core courses in the MS program are offered in a certain order online, as are the informatics specialty courses. When entering into the program each student is assigned an advisor who develops a program plan to plot our course work over time. Part time and full time program plans are available.

Yes, you may email the health care informatics option office and we can recommend a course you can take as an open enrollment/non degree student.

Since our degree is offered through the Graduate School and College of Nursing, it is a MS.

Yes, the program is fully accreditation by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Council (NLNAC) and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

The Informatics Program does not charge out-of-state tuition, so all students pay in-state tuition.

Yes, there will be a comprehensive exam upon completion of the program. Students usually do this through interactive video teleconferencing. Many of the students can use their hospital facilities and then there are minor charges from the University of Colorado. This may be an additional expense; you should plan to spend approximately $300 or more for this.
