Specialty Options for MS, BS-DNP, and BS-PhD

The CU College of Nursing, offers three advanced practice gerontology programs to meet the needs of the growing elderly population. Students gain expertise in providing patient-centered, safe, competent, culturally-sensitive and evidence-based care to patients. Designed for busy adults, the programs combine a variety of online nursing education options with extensive supervision and onsite classes and intensives—ideal for the student who needs flexibility in scheduling study and class times or the student who lives in a rural area.

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Acute Care AGNPs are prepared to formulate clinical, administrative or policy decisions to promote health with clients experiencing acute or chronic illness and to develop, manage and evaluate the care within hospitals and health care systems.
