We are offering two waivers as part of Free Application Days this year. Eligible applicants may:
- redeem a certificate to waive the $50.00 College of Nursing supplemental fee. The supplemental waiver is available to all eligible students now.
- enter to receive a coupon code to waive the $70.00 Nursing CAS application fee. Act fast — NursingCAS coupon codes will be distributed to 60 applicants on a first come, first served basis.

Eligibility requirements
To use the supplemental waiver, or to apply for the NursingCAS fee waiver, you must be:
- Are a Colorado resident
- Have an in-progress application in NursingCAS and add the University of Colorado for one of the following Bachelor of Science pathways:
- Summer 2027 Traditional Pathway
- Fall 2027 UCAN (Accelerated Pathway)
- Fall 2027 CU Denver Bridge Pathway

How it works
- Complete our short form to put your name in the hat to be considered for a NursingCAS application coupon code. Complete this form no later than October 14, 2026.
Request a NursingCAS Coupon Code
- While you wait to see if you received a coupon code, complete as much of your NursingCAS application as possible. If you are approved for a NursingCAS waiver, your application must be fully submitted in Nursing CAS, redeeming the code by October 22nd. Codes not used by this date will be deactivated.
- Check your email. Students issued a NursingCAS coupon code will be notified by email with their unique code from October 1st through October 21st.
- If you don’t receive a NursingCAS code, you can still use the College of Nursing supplemental waiver, which still saves $50.00 in application fees.
Claiming your waivers
Whether you are awarded a NursingCAS fee waiver or plan to use the Supplemental Waiver, you must submit a completed NursingCAS application by October 22nd to redeem the benefit.
Redeeming the Supplemental Fee Certificate Waiver ($50.00 value)
This certificate will be accepted on all eligible applications submitted October 1-22, 2026. Please do not pay the supplemental fee in NursingCAS if you use this certificate. The certificate will serve as proof of payment.

How to upload the Supplemental Fee Certificate Waiver in NursingCAS:
- Login into your NursingCAS account.
- From the “My Application” screen, click the “Program Materials” box.
- Click on the program you are applying to.
- Click on the “Documents” tab and scroll down to the “Required Documents” section.
- Click the blue + “Add Document” button in the “Supplemental Fee” box. Upload the Supplemental Fee there. After uploading the coupon, you have completed the supplemental application fee step for your application. Please note, that if you are applying to additional eligible programs, you can re-use your waiver form.
Redeeming the NursingCAS Fee Waiver by entering a coupon code
Instructions for applying a coupon code to your NursingCAS application will be provided by email. Keep in mind that if you receive a coupon code, it will be a unique code for you and cannot be shared.
