In addition to the Colorado Free Application days of October 7-9, the CU College of Nursing is extending this period to October 24. Make sure you take advantage of this great offer!
We are offering two waivers as part of Free Application Days this year. Eligible applicants may:
- redeem a certificate to waive the $50.00 supplemental fee
- enter to receive a coupon code to waive the $65.00 Nursing CAS application fee. Act fast — NursingCAS coupon codes will be distributed to 60 applicants on a first come, first served basis.
Claim Your Waiver(s)
1. Determine your eligibility
You are eligible for a certificate waiver on your application fees if you:
- Are a Colorado resident
- Have an in-progress application in NursingCAS and add the University of Colorado for one of the following Bachelor of Science pathways:
- Summer 2026 Traditional Pathway
- Fall 2026 UCAN (Accelerated Pathway)
- Fall 2026 CU Denver Bridge Pathway
2. Download the Supplemental Fee Certificate Waiver ($50.00 value)
This certificate will be accepted on applications submitted October 7 -24, 2025. Please do not pay the supplemental fee in NursingCAS if you use this certificate. The certificate will serve as proof of payment.

3. Upload the Supplemental Fee in NursingCAS
How to upload the Supplemental Fee Certificate Waiver in NursingCAS:
- Login into your NursingCAS account.
- From the “My Application” screen, click the “Program Materials” box.
- Click on the program you are applying to.
- Click on the “Documents” tab and scroll down to the “Required Documents” section.
- Click the blue + “Add Document” button in the “Supplemental Fee” box. Upload the Supplemental Fee there. After uploading the coupon, you have completed the supplemental application fee step for your application. Please note, that if you are applying to additional eligible programs, you can re-use your waiver form.
4. Apply for the NursingCAS coupon ($65.00 value) by October 9
A limited-time NursingCAS coupon will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to 60 eligible requesters. Those selected will be notified via email between October 7th and 14th. Information on how to redeem a NursingCAS coupon code is available in the NursingCAS Help Center.

5. Submit your application Oct. 7-24
Submit your NursingCAS application to the CU College of Nursing Oct. 7-24 during Free Application Days, following the instructions above, and we will honor your waivers.
