We can't wait to see CU Nursing Students, Faculty and Staff!
We are happy to continue planning our return to campus this summer. We received approval from Campus Leadership for our soft/limited return this summer. This approval gives us greater flexibility and opportunity for those who have been working remotely to re-immerse into college and campus life. We highly encourage all faculty and staff to come back to campus once in June and once in July to ensure their offices are set up and things are in working order for the full return this fall.
Our focus will be to support our faculty, staff, and students within the new protocols and guidelines, while also supporting limited return this summer and a full return this fall. We ask for everyone’s commitment to protocols and guidelines to help maintain a healthy college community.
With summer upon us, we wanted to remind you that the fall semester deadline for meeting the CU Anschutz COVID-19 vaccination requirement is fast approaching.
We request that all vaccination information be submitted in your American Data Bank (ADB/Complio) account by August 17, 2021.
All matriculated students must be fully vaccinated by Sept 1 per the CU AMC COVID vaccination policy. Failure to submit proof of vaccination will result in an Honor Code and Conduct violation as specified in the CU Student Handbook, (page 11 - 12). Violation of the Honor Code and Conduct Policy will result in a referral to the Student Affairs Committee with the possibility of a course withdrawal.
Medical and religious exemptions are available, and you can find downloadable exemption forms. There is a section in COVID-19 vaccine section of American Data Bank (ADB) to upload the exemption form.
If you have not yet been fully vaccinated, we urge you to do so at your earliest opportunity. It is vital to plan ahead to ensure you meet the deadline. Remember that, in addition to the timeframe between doses for the Pfizer (21 days) or Moderna (28 days) vaccines, you also need to account for the required 14-day period following your final dose of any vaccine.
It is easy to get vaccinated, and there is no cost to you. Appointments are widely available at local providers throughout Colorado, including UCHealth. You can get help finding a vaccine by visiting cocovidvaccine.org or calling 1-877-CO-VAX-CO (1-877-268-2926).
Our campus has signed on to take part in the White House COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge, a nationwide effort to champion vaccination across university campuses and bring an end to the pandemic. Help us lead by example as part of this historic challenge.
Already been vaccinated? You can take part in an optional COVID-19 vaccination badge sticker program.
Keep up with the latest campus protocols on masks, distancing and safety. While many welcome the chance to get back to campus activity without wearing a mask, please remember that anyone may choose to continue wearing a mask on campus - even after vaccination.
Let’s support one another and stick together. We’ve come a long way together, and by each of us doing our part, we’ll get through the summer months to a healthy, productive fall. Any questions can be submitted to the Experiential Learning Team (email@example.com).
