Kelly Henrichs joined the College of Nursing in 2014 as an Assistant Professor. She taught undergraduate MSI clinicals in fall 2014, and is currently teaching MSII clinicals with students at the South Denver campus. She will also be practicing clinically as an NP at Sheridan Health Services. Henrichs worked as an acute care NP for the Hospitalist Team at UCH for two years, including completing a one year fellowship comprised of one on one training with other providers, and weekly teaching topics. She also has experience as a med/surg and cardiac stepdown RN. At the CON, she is a member of the BS Advisory Committee. Her teaching interests include pharmacology, pathophysiology, and anatomy and physiology. Henrichs is certified as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner and a Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider. She has participated in quality improvement activities and completed her DNP capstone project on increasing oxygen therapy adherence in patients who are newly prescribed oxygen upon discharge, which she is currently trying to publish in Respiratory Care and will be presenting as a poster presentation at the Rocky Mountain EBP Symposium. Henrichs earned her DNP and MS in nursing from the University of Colorado.
