Your First Steps

  1. Respond to your admission offer by completing the Intent to Enroll form link listed in your admission notice
  2. Submit Residency Verification form. This form will be emailed after you submit the Intent to Enroll form
  3. Many steps involve non-refundable fees and time-sensitive actions. Do not start any processes until you have confirmed your official admission status

Your next steps

1

Get connected

  • CU Nursing Admissions will activate your CU account once the Registrar’s Office has processed your Initial Residency Verification form. Your CU account will allow you access to email and student resources
  • Claim and set up your university email, establishing your login credentials for your student email account, student portal, and Canvas. After you’ve set up your email account, go to myemail.ucdenver.edu (or the Webmail icon from any CU website) to access it in the future. Need help? Call 303-724-HELP (4357)

Pre-enrollment requirements and cost

  • Two weeks after your account is activated, you will be invited to join your Canvas orientation course. This course will list the detailed pre-enrollment process, including required immunizations, and other compliance processes such as the criminal background check, fingerprinting, badging, readings, etc. This is also an excellent way to connect with classmates and advisors.
  • There are upfront out-of-pocket costs associated with the pre-enrollment requirements. Students should expect between $300-$400 for various costs for setting up compliance accounts and charges for drug screening, background checks, etc
  • Join the Spring 2025 MS/BS-DNP/PGC Course

Attend orientation

  • Orientation is managed differently depending on your degree program/specialty. The orientation dates and formats are included in the admission notification and are also listed below
  • The undergraduate on-boarding process starts with attending Admitted Student Day, which is an optional event that walks students through a to-do list in the Canvas Course. After ASD, there are 2-3 required all-day orientations
  • The graduate on-boarding process includes a general graduate student orientation and a specialty-specific orientation event. All events are held virtually, although some may have an opportunity for optional in-person attendance
