Information for all attendees

Severe Weather Plans

Generally, the weather is excellent in late August for our graduation festivities. However, perfect weather is not guaranteed. Our ceremony will be held outdoors rain or shine, and graduates and guests should be prepared. Ponchos will be provided to graduates if it is raining.

Ceremonies may be delayed for up to two hours to allow for the weather to pass or they may be shortened if weather is moving in. Please check your email and the commencement page regularly for updates if severe weather is in the forecast.

If severe weather is expected that is likely to threaten public safety, outdoor ceremonies will be canceled and moved to an indoor backup location: the Ed 2 South Auditorium. Please note that guest attendance at the College of Nursing ceremony will be limited indoors.

Parking

Parking is limited on campus and attendees are highly encouraged to consider carpooling, utilizing ridesharing services, or taking public transportation. The Georgetown, Julesburg, and the East Overflow lots are recommended for visitors attending the Nursing Commencement.
