My pathway into midwifery began while conducting graduate research in Medical Anthropology in rural southern Rajasthan (India). During my time as a researcher, I realized I wanted to be directly involved in supporting women throughout the experience of pregnancy and birth. So I left behind my PhD and started down a path that lead me to midwifery. After completing my dual CNM/WHNP at Yale College of Nursing, I have worked in a full scope out of hospital birth center in metro Denver, a private OB/GYN group and I have served as an instructor for Denver College of Nursing. I am passionate about supporting women and families, particularly the immigrant and refugee community, through their experiences with pregnancy, birth and accessing reproductive healthcare.
