A passionate advocate for older adults, Dr. Kelly Henrichs has transformed geriatric nursing education at the University of Colorado since 2014. Leading the charge in both classroom and clinic, she combines her hands-on patient care at the UCHealth Senior's Clinic with innovative teaching methods that earned her the 2022 Innovation in Teaching Award.
Her groundbreaking research tackles a crucial challenge: shifting nursing students' perceptions of older adults. From her early days at Marquette University to her current role shaping the next generation of geriatric nurses, Dr. Henrichs' impact extends beyond campus through her leadership in multiple national nursing organizations.
