Dr. Scott Harpin's journey in healthcare began with a simple but powerful mission: to help young people who needed it most. As a public health nurse and researcher, he has dedicated his career to supporting homeless youth and children in the foster care system. His passion for this work took root in Minneapolis, where he worked at St. Joseph's Home for Children, helping kids entering the child protection system find safety and care.

Today, as a Professor at CU Anschutz College of Nursing, he continues to make a difference. He co-founded the CU Street Medicine program which takes health sciences students, faculty, and volunteers to encampments and human services centers, bringing healthcare and education to those most in-need. Beyond his research and community service, Dr. Harpin serves as a national leader in how community health nursing education is taught and is recognized for his work teaching nursing students alongside students from other healthcare disciplines. When he's not working to improve young lives, he enjoys time with his wife and two daughters in Denver and the mountains.
