College of Nursing Marketing | College of Nursing Dec 12, 2012Linda Flynn, PhD, RN, FAAN, professor, has been appointed PhD program director effective Dec. 1. Flynn completed an NIH-funded post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research and for the ensuing decade her funded program of outcomes research has focused on the effects of nursing systems such as nurse staffing levels, the practice environment, and nurse manager leadership on patient care and patient outcomes across practice settings. The previous director, Roxie Foster, PhD, RN, FAAN, professor and Interim Chair, Division of Adult & Senior Health, whose career at CU has spanned more than two decades, will retire from the College of Nursing in December.
