Mia Roberts, PhD, CPNP-PC is an Senior Instructor of Clinical Practice at the University of Colorado College of Nursing. She also practices as a full time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Sheridan Health Services, a nurse-managed Federally Qualified Health Center. She received her Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University in Child Development, her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, and her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the University of Colorado College of Nursing in May 2023. She grew up in New Orleans and worked in community health for several years prior to moving to Colorado.
She has a passion for community health and developmental pediatrics and loves being a preceptor for students. She also teaches in the PNP program. Other interests include working with high-risk adolescents and teenagers, providing reproductive education and services, and supporting the parent-child dyad through the Maternal Child Unit at Sheridan. She also strongly believes in an integrated health care mode, combining behavioral health into primary care services.
