In the Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialty, you’ll focus on caring for children who are typically healthy but need treatment because they’re sick. Once you finish the Post-Graduate Certificate Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program, you can take the board certification exam through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. After passing the exam, you'll be ready to get your license, unlocking a new career path and scope of practice. Acute care pediatric nurse practitioners can get licensed to work in all 50 states, including Colorado.

Hands-on training

In 360 clinical hours, you’ll train to treat children with immediate, serious healthcare needs. Under the guidance of a mentor, you’ll gain real-world experience.

In-depth coursework

This post-graduate certificate program has 11 credit hours in the classroom. Your classes include practicums and two optional classes focused on pediatrics.
