Yes! We offer both part-time and full-time options for our MS program, allowing you to choose what works best for your schedule. A part-time program is one course a semester, and a full-time program is two courses a semester.
The Health Care Informatics program is offered as a 16-week Fall and Spring semester, and a 10-week Summer semester. Courses may be taken one class at a time with a part-time program plan or two classes a semester with a full-time program plan.
All Health Care Informatics specialty and core courses are offered asynchronously online. Students complete course content as their schedule allows them to meet scheduled assignment due dates. Any live sessions in a course are recorded and provided to all students for viewing.

Yes, during the practicum sequence, students are required to obtain a one-year license to use InPlace, the CU Nursing academic tracking system, to log the practicum hours they have completed. The fee is approximately $50. An additional fee may be charged if a student completes the comprehensive exam separately from the last course of their program. Students enroll in the 1-credit course, Candidate for Degree, to maintain their status in the program to complete the comprehensive exam, and will pay a course fee of $300.
