Lacey Cross is an Assistant Teaching Professor and Coordinator of the Integrated Nursing Pathway (INP) at CU Anschutz College of Nursing. She has experience teaching across many settings, including in the classroom, the simulation lab, and in pediatric and adult clinical settings. Before she became a nurse educator in 2019, she worked as a bedside nurse in the pediatric acute care setting and then transitioned to the primary care arena as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Cross is interested in exploring strategies to bridge the academic-practice gap in nursing, especially with regard to fostering and evaluating clinical reasoning and judgment in both undergraduate students and new graduate nurses. She is passionate about preparing the next generation of CU nurses and cherishes the opportunity to do this important work each day.
In her free time, Lacey enjoys adventuring outdoors with her dog Lucy, catching Celine Dion in concert whenever possible, and returning to her hometown of Nashville, TN, regularly to visit her family.
