Brandi Farrell is a double board-certified primary and acute care pediatric nurse practitioner in the Dept of Pediatric Surgery at Children’s Colorado and an assistant professor in the CU Anschutz College of Nursing. She has previous academic appointments at Catholic University, University of Pennsylvania, UT Arlington, and UT Health San Antonio.
During her two decades as a pediatric nurse practitioner, Dr. Farrell has practiced at several of the nation’s premier pediatric hospitals including: Doernbecher Children’s Hospital; Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; Children’s National Medical Center; Temple Children’s Medical Center; Cook Children’s Medical Center; Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas; and UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Farrell’s specialty focus is pediatric trauma, emergency care, and critical care with a specialization in quality improvement, pediatric trauma, and child maltreatment.
Her current research interests include practice improvement; child trafficking; pediatric trauma/burns; and NP scope of practice.
