Bethany Feret, LCSW, LAC is faculty at the University of Colorado Anschutz College of Nursing’s clinic practice site CU-Sheridan Health Services (SHS) in the Family Health Clinic. In her role as behavioral health provider, Bethany offers brief individual counseling in an integrated care setting for older adolescents and adults. She prioritizes holistic well-being and advocates for clients' mental and behavioral health within the broader context. Her passions include growing systemic practice of trauma-informed, person-centered whole health. Other interests include strengthening equitable and culturally-responsive practices within healthcare systems.
Bethany earned a B.F.A in Fine Arts from University of Colorado-Denver and a Masters of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her professional path has intertwined creativity alongside advocacy, traveling through art curator, community organizer, victim advocate to integrated healthcare. Bethany continues to weave in creativity, gentleness, and humor in her body-based approaches, along with humanist, existential, trauma-informed, and harm-reduction practices. She has been trained as an AcuDetox Specialist, in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
