As Assistant Professor and Specialty Director at the University of Colorado, she leads advances in healthcare informatics, patient safety, and health policy. Her groundbreaking work includes validating artificial intelligence algorithms to improve care quality while reducing clinical waste, leading federal electronic quality measure development, and developing national nursing informatics and nursing practice data standards.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and board-certified in both nursing informatics and perioperative nursing, Dr. Giarrizzo-Wilson's research focuses on improving patient care through enhanced electronic health record communications, making her a leader in healthcare's digital transformation.
