Rachel has been caring for women for the last 15 years, her passion for midwifery began during her time as a Registered Nurse, providing care to women in private practice and hospital settings. These experiences allowed her to work directly with Certified Nurse-Midwives and enabled her to observe their personalized approach to care, witnessing the deep relationships they formed in the process. In 2009, Rachel received her Master’s degree in midwifery education from the University of Kansas, which launched her midwifery career.
As a Certified Nurse-Midwife and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Rachel is a life-long learner who has achieved certification in colposcopy and completed training in surgical first assist. Striving to both listen and understand the needs of each patient, Rachel has a holistic approach to patient care, "I recognize each journey is unique and strive to educate, facilitate and support you along the way." Married with two daughters (both delivered by her partner midwives), Rachel and her family enjoy skiing, travel, and exploring outdoors with their rescued shelter dogs.
