Deb graduated from nursing school in 2004 and came to work at UC Health as a Labor and Delivery nurse. There her passion was in caring for women and families, whether they were blissfully welcoming a healthy new baby or struggling through the hardship of having complications with their pregnancy.
Deb returned to school to pursue her Midwifery degree and graduated from University of Colorado School of Nursing in 2018. She has worked as a midwife for 2 years elsewhere before returning to UC Health to continue her career in Midwifery with the group of midwives that helped with the births of her own two children.
In addition to her passion for being present for families in transition, Deb also enjoys assisting with health maintenance, family planning and sexual health. When not midwifing, Deb loves reading, cross country skiing, hiking and spending time with her husband, adventurous two young boys, and dog.
