Alison is a research scientist and bilingual public health nurse at the University of Colorado who leads the national Achieving a State of Healthy Weight (ASHW) assessment. Her work focuses on translating evidence into policy and practice to improve the health and safety of children and families, with research spanning early childhood health and obesity prevention, public health policy, and injury prevention. She is also a Doctor of Nursing Practice student, with doctoral research focused on strengthening firearm, medication, and overdose prevention practices among professionals working with families.
