Dr. Heather Ponicsan completed her BSN at the CU Anschutz Campus and went directly into the DNP/MPH program; working as both a clinical scholar and teaching assistant during the program.
Dr. Ponicsan's nursing experience includes mental health, substance use, wound care and corrections. Her leadership experience includes being DON and running substance use facilities. She continued to work as adjunct faculty with CU Anschutz Campus after graduation and now joins the College of Nursing as the Assistant Director of Experiential Learning.
