Nursing BS Honors
Excel to your fullest potential

Our honors program promotes scholarship through intellectual and personal development. As a student, you’ll be challenged to grow into a nurse scientist through research based on your interests, needs, and goals. The honors program is only for students who are accepted into our Traditional BS in Nursing Pathway.

What is the honors program?

The honors program is rigorous and in addition to your undergraduate nursing curriculum. Our faculty and your classmates will support you through the program.

  • Six additional credits focused on research and scholarship
  • A scholarly paper (known as a thesis) and a poster presentation

Enhance your education

You’ll get personalized mentorship based on your research area of interest. The program is an opportunity to enhance your scientific writing, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. As a bonus, honors students get preferential consideration for admission to our PhD program.
