Cate Cherry, MSN, CNM, WHNP: The moment Cate Cherry witnessed a woman giving birth, she was hooked on midwifery, reproductive health and caring for pregnant women. Cate earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University and became a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM). She began her midwifery career in a community hospital in Plymouth, MA. But she’d always dreamed of living in Colorado since she visited the state as a college student. Today, she feels lucky to be at the Center for Midwifery as a CNM and instructor of clinical practice at the CU College of Nursing. If you listen carefully, you’ll hear her singing with moms in labor listening to music! Cate specializes in family planning, behavioral health and supporting people through life transitions. For fun, Cate likes to hang out at lakes and the ocean, hike and snowboard.
