Dr. Maggie Thompson is a distinguished Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner whose career exemplifies excellence in both clinical practice and education. Inspired by her faculty mentors at Vanderbilt University, she transitioned from cardiology and cardiac surgery to surgical trauma intensive care at the University of Colorado Hospital.

Dr. Thompson's dedication to advancing critical care practice is matched by her commitment to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals. She actively invests in rotating students and trainees, embodying the same passion for education that inspired her own journey from biology undergraduate to doctorate-prepared nurse practitioner.
