Maggie Thompson DNP, RN, AGACNP-BC

Maggie Thompson has been an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner since 2016. Her AGACNP training focused as an Intensivist Nurse Practitioner with the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. It was the passion that her faculty demonstrated for advanced practice nursing that led Maggie to pursue an education in academia.

She began her career working in Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery at Vanderbilt University Hospital. In 2018, she began a position with Surgical Trauma Intensive Care at the University of Colorado Hospital.

In addition to her clinical role, Maggie has invested in the educational experience of rotating students and trainees. Her interests focus on the promotion of the advanced practice role within the critical care setting.
