The College of Nursing offers fantastic benefits, such as access to the Anschutz Medical Campus Health Sciences Library (including UpToDate Anywhere & PubMed), and continuing education credits to name a few. The work performed by preceptors in supervising and training graduate nursing students is valued by the College of Nursing and is an integral piece of their education.

You will also receive hours of verification at the end of each semester, for ANCC Re-certification, which you can forward to your employer to be considered for promotion or advancement in your workplace.

Graduate Preceptor Qualifications

  • National certification in specialty area or related field
  • Meets state licensing requirements for advanced practice and prescriptive authority, if applicable
