The University Nurse Midwives (UNM) Faculty Practice offers women and families many services including individualized care, group prenatal classes, childbirth education, lactation services, mental health services, and referrals to specialty care. UNM provides full-scope midwifery care to women at the Anschutz Medical Campus and inpatient care to the STRIDE Community Health Center patients. UNM believes that women benefit from personalized and comprehensive care that focuses on the patient while including the family in the plan of care. We serve women from many countries and strive to offer culturally appropriate care. During childbirth, we offer women many choices to help with pain. These include labor support, laboring in the tub, IV pain medication, nitrous oxide, and epidurals.
