Susan Bonini, Ed.D, MSN, RN, Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for the Integrated Nursing Pathway (INP) program at the University of Colorado College of Nursing. She currently teaches in the undergraduate nursing program. Dr. Bonini earned her associate's and bachelor's degree from the Quinnipiac University, her Master of Nursing from the Yale University School of Nursing and her Ed.D from the University of Colorado, School of Education and Human Development. 

In her role as program coordinator of the Integrated Nursing Pathway (INP) program, she serves as a student advisor and has helped improve access for students attending Denver metro area community colleges to the University of Colorado College of Nursing undergraduate nursing program. The INP program has been instrumental in increasing the diversity of the student body in the undergraduate nursing program.  

Her practice background is in cardiac/critical care and medical/surgical nursing. She worked for many years at the University of Colorado Hospital as a clinical nurse educator and in various leadership positions until she transitioned to the College of Nursing in 2011.  

Dr. Bonini has published articles and book chapters on topics including patient care issues effecting practice and the INP program. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau. 

Dr. Bonini has a keen interest in improving the diversity of the nursing workforce, faculty, and student body. She has supported diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at the College of Nursing since 2015 as active participant in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion delegation and DEI faculty group.
