Eliaser Ramón Chaparro, LPC, NCC (he/him/his) is faculty at the University of Colorado College of Nursing's clinic practice site CU-Sheridan Health Services (SHS) in the Family Health Clinic. In his role as a behavioral health provider, Ramón offers brief individual counseling in an integrated care setting for adults and older adolescents in both English and Spanish. His interests include increasing access to culturally responsive behavioral health care for Spanish-speaking adults, collaborating with community initiatives to advocate for systemic changes supporting improved behavioral health outcomes in historically marginalized populations, and implementing strategies to support peer-facilitated psychoeducation in historically underserved communities.
Ramón earned a B.A. in Religious Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, and a M.A. in Counseling - Multicultural Clinical Mental Health from University of Colorado Denver, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, as well as a National Certified Counselor.
