Dawon Baik joined the University of Colorado College of Nursing as an Assistant Professor in September 2019. Prior to joining the faculty, she completed a two-year post-doctoral NIH/NINR T32 fellowship, Health Disparities through Informatics, at Columbia University in August 2019.

Her research interest focuses on improving the health and well-being of older adults with chronic disease (e.g., heart failure, dementia) and their family care partners through the use of digital health-supported, health-promotion interventions.

Dr. Baik has received multiple prestigious fellowship and research awards during her career, including the Sigma Theta Tau International small grant, the Hester McLaws Research Award at the University of Washington in 2016-2017, an NIH/NINR T32 biomedical informatics post-doctoral fellowship at Columbia University in 2017-2019 and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York pilot grant in 2018-2019. Dr. Baik is a PI on a NIH/NIA K23 award (2022-2027) and Dean’s Intramural Award (2022-2023).

Dr. Baik is also an active member of the American Heart Association (AHA), the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), and the Western Institute of Nursing (WIN).
