She is passionate about fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment and has presented at numerous conferences, including the 35th International Nursing Research Congress in Singapore.

Dr. Chappell's clinical background includes neurorehabilitation of traumatic spinal cord and brain-injured patients. Dr. Chappell emphasizes a creative and customized teaching approach, believing that each adult learner brings unique frames and experiences to the table. She employs the advocacy-inquiry method, which she learned at Harvard University, to facilitate genuine inquiry and learning.
