I am a first-generation college graduate. It never occurred to me that I was one until I realized that my parents nor my grandparents had attended college. Why didn’t it occur to me? Because it was never an option that I wasn’t going to go to college. My parents were determined that my brother and I were going to go to college. We both attended a small, private, liberal arts college which molded my thoughts on what a well-rounded educated person should be. I am a musician, who holds a degree in music. I currently play a mean, albeit bad cello with a symphony orchestra. I ski, hike, run, bike, swim and enjoy all the things that Colorado has to offer. I have a love of all things Hello Kitty and am known for reading apocalyptic, fantasy young adult books. Can’t get any more well-rounded than that!
